Investment fund Peak Capital has opened up a new fund containing 12 million euro for tech startups. The money must be invested in at least ten promising companies.

Peak Capital already opened two funds for companies in telecom. The third, named Peak Capital III, is funded by the partners of the fund, as well as Dutch entrepreneurs from Booking.com, Drukwerkdeal, SeatMe, and Spil Games amongst others.

The new fund is also backed by the government via the Technostarterregeling (Innovatiefonds MKB+) of the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland. (Link in Dutch).

“Because of this governmental investment, Peak Capital III is used only for Dutch tech companies no older than 7 years”, says Peak Capital partner Johan van Mil. “We can also provide these young companies with expertise on subjects such as marketing and sales.”

Peak Capital early stage

“We are looking to invest lower amounts at an earlier stage, looking less at the estimated valuation of a business”, Van Mil said earlier about this fund to StartupJuncture.

Peak Capital earlier invested in companies such as CheapCargo, Catawiki, IENS, NPEX, Peecho and TradeCloud.
