Teaming up with Amsterdam based food delivery company TringTring, Get Chef’s will help restaurants to make more revenue and create less waste. That sounds like a tasty collaboration!

Get Chef’s app fights waste

That’s what we call ambitious: preventing food waste with an app. It is exactly what Get Chef’s does: preventing food waste in the restaurant scene. Consumers can find their meals in the app via takeaway, book a table in a participating restaurant or choose delivery. Normally these meals would be spilled, but now they are offered with discount. Also, every Get Chef’s transaction means a donation to the Foodbank. This way they prevent food waste and fight food shortage by using all meals and ingredients.

“Offering delivery is a logical addition to the app, ass convenience is everything! High quality food delivered to your house, office or park for an interesting price”. According to Bruce Westeneng, co-founder of Get Chef’s. “Especially delivery in the park is a great extra, looking at the recent ban on BBQ’s in the Vondelpark!”

Local partners

Besides partnering up with local restaurants, the delivery will be done by Amsterdam’s own TringTring. Active in delivery of goods, meals and groceries solely by bicycle since 2014, they sure know how to find their way around. The goal for TringTring lies in generating more time, clean air, employment and customers for everyone in Amsterdam. By collaborating, TringTring and Get Chef’s want to give this vision an extra push.

The delivery function can be found in the completely renewed Get Chef’s app. Get Chef’s has added 45 new suppliers to the app and contains great hotspots such as the New York Film Academy, Café Sarphaat, Voldaan, Café Lennep, Temakery, Fresh Food lovers, Soytasty, Soulburger and more. Don’t waste your plate, this is the perfect excuse not to feel guilty over food delivery.
