Here’s what happened in the Dutch startup community last week.

Funding

Dutchie in Silicon Valley Joost Schreve does it again: his online travel platform Kimkim raised 1 million dollar in seed funding. In 2011 his startup EveryTrail got acquired by TripAdvisor. He left TripAdvisor in November last year to start Kimkim in December. Fun fact: the name for the startup comes from the first US customer named Kim, who was chatting with a Nepal travel expert also called Kim.

Cabture, a startup dedicated to create brand experiences in taxi rides, raised 50.000 euro through crowdfunding platform Symbid.

Amsterdam-based community engagement platform Insided announced a 6 million euro series A investment round, led by French venture capital fund Ventech, together with Belgian VC Fortino Capital and Dutch VC HenQ.

E-commerce startup SendCloud from Eindhoven received a 2 million euro series A investment from TIIN Capital and Brabantse Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij (BOM), to create a pan-European shipping network for small webshops.
