Here’s what you need to know about what happened in the Dutch startup scene last week.

Funding

Electric scooter startup Bolt Mobility secured a record investment of over 1 million euro in convertible notes via crowdfunding platform Leapfunder. 37 private investors so far have pledged the money, 75 scooters were already sold.

Big data startup 8vance from Venlo raised 2 million euro from investment funds LBDF and Kickstart Venlo. The startup matches jobs with talent, and uses big data to ultimately make the recruitment market more transparant.

Restaurant recommendation app Pimmr got funded for 825.000 euro by five informal investors. The money will be used to expand the team with more developers.

Fitness coaching app Fitmo last week launched their app for the Apple Watch in Amsterdam’s Apple Store.

Wageningen-based In2Care got a big fat grand from the Bill & Melinda Gated Foundation. With 10.2 million dollar, the startup can test and develop a new malaria prevention method.
