Briter, a digital learning platform from Den Bosch, has received at least a 200.000 euro seed investment from an informal investor.

The investment was done at the end of 2016. Briter also received a loan from Ondernemerslift. The money will be used for marketing and development, as well as expanding to secondary education.

Briter right now offers a personal learning environment for pupils and assistance to teachers in primary education. The startup is looking for an extra 250.000 euro investment.

Founder Richard Bergmans worked at several edtech startups in the past, like Squla, and is the founder of eduapp.nl, a directory for handy tools and apps in education.

Netflix and education

In the release, he stated he eventually wants to make the startup a ‘Netflix for education’ (although it seems it’s definitely not the focus of the startup). Besides, it’s something edtech startup Faqta from Utrecht also had claimed – so we’re curious how these two businesses will relate to each other in the long run.
