Here's what happened last week in the Dutch startup scene:

News & updates

We saw two acquisitions by Dutch startups: OneFit acquired its German competitor Kurspass and MessageBird took over the sms division of iBasis.

It isn't going well for equity crowdfunding platform Symbid. After losing 2.5 million euro in 2014, it lost 2 million euro last year (revenue was over 300k). Sure, that happens when you're still in the phase of searching for a sustainable business model. However, the entire non-executive board of Symbid resigned earlier this month. Now that's a signal.

One year after the introduction of the Dutch startup visa, business news channel RTL Z took stock: 21 out of 95 foreign startups got access.

Cerescon was the first company to complete the StartLife incubation programme for agri and food startups.

Bloomon had the startup deal of the year and Takeaway.com is thinking of an IPO.

Funding

Amsterdam- and San Francisco-based feedback platform Impraise secured a seed investment of 1.4 million euro, led by Amsterdam based VC-firm henQ in cooperation with Palm Drive Ventures from New York and China Growth Capital.

Utrecht-based smart energy startup Senfal received an undisclosed amount in seed funding from energy company Anode Energie to further grow.

Events

April and May are always full of startup events. This week: Uprise and YES!Delft Open. A reminder for May: TheNextWomen Innovation Summit (May 23). This event might have chosen the best date, because the day after it all begins… .

… with Startup Fest Europe (May 24-28). Campus Party (May 25-29) is a big part of it. And let's not forget The Next Web Conference Europe 2016 (May 26-27)!
