Funding

Proof-of-concept fund UNIIQ last week invested in two startups: Andrupos (identification software) and VarmX (pharmaceuticals).

Amsterdam-based HR/recruitment startup Yearn this year received a total of 400.000 euro in pre-seed money, raised in two rounds of private crowdfunding.

News & Updates

WeTransfer has appointed a new CEO. Gordon Willoughby (ex Amazon, Ebay) will succeed Bas Beerens, who will become executive chairman instead.

The Future Food Fund is a new fund backed by the ‘seed capital arrangement’ from the Dutch government. It is led by experienced entrepreneur Heleen Dura-Van Oord (Peak Capital, DQ&A), among others. The fund invests 150.000 euro up to 2 million euro in startups or early growth agri-horti-food companies.

Applications for the second edition of the Renew The Book Startup Competition close in two days (applications close December 21). Renew The Book is a 40 day event for five startups to focus on innovating the publishing and book industry.

The portable cooling system for medicines Meds2Go has won the YES!Delft LaunchLab.
