Car sharing company Snappcar last week acquired Swedish competitor FlexiDrive to “strengthen its position” in Scandinavia, the company announced today.
UpViral, a startup for building contests and giveaways, has raised $600.000 during a 7-day crowdfunding campaign.
Retail giant Ahold has entered into a three-year partnership with startup accelerator Startupbootcamp
The European Digital City Index ranked Amsterdam as the second best European city for supporting digital startups and the third best for scale-ups (London is number one). Cities were researched by theme’s, such as access to capital, business environment, skills, entrepreneurial culture and non-digital infrastructure.
Legal search platform De Advocatenwijzer – a 2014 startup that helps you find the right lawyer, has successfully closed a funding round of €250k from a ‘consortium of financers’. (Link in Dutch).
Amsterdam-based startup Tiq has, according to Sprout, been selected for the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator in London. The startup helps you to register the hours spend in a workday.
Events
This week, UBI Index, a Swedish research initiative on university business incubators will present its annual global Top 25 University Business Incubators. Last year, the only Dutch name in the list was YES!Delft.
The dates are set for the 5th anniversary Startup Weekend Utrecht, join on November 13th-15th at Jaarbeurs’s newly designed office space in the Beatrix building.
